THE FIRST AID GAP

A global standard that
we’re not meeting. Yet.

In India, the majority occur at home
with no help in sight.

In India, majority cardiac arrests happen outside hospitals.

Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest accounts for
nearly 10% of global deaths and
over 50% of all vascular deaths.

OHCA is a silent killer.

Globally, majority cardiac arrests happen outside hospitals

High income countries with mature EMS typically reports survival rate of 8-12% while India reports it at 1.4 - 8.8%

OHCA is a silent killer.

The American Heart Association recommends at least 62%

Only 1.3% – 9.8% of people
step in to give CPR in India.

India's bystander CPR rate is alarming.

United Kingdom

Large national registries and public campaigns exist, but AED density and bystander use vary by region;
in England, bystander PAD use in the OHCAO
registry sits in the mid-single digits (~5–7%), highlighting a placement/activation gap even
where AEDs are nearby.

Australia, New Zealand

Australia has one of the highest out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) survival rates globally. Overall survival to hospital discharge is approximately 10–15%, while survival among witnessed cardiac arrests with a shockable rhythm reaches 40–45% in Victoria. High bystander CPR rates (75–80%), widespread AED availability, dispatcher-assisted CPR, and coordinated emergency response systems have contributed significantly to these outcomes. Evidence from New South Wales also shows that bystander CPR substantially improves 30-day survival compared with no CPR.

Denmark & the Netherlands

Europe’s newest resuscitation guidance reports bystander CPR ~58% on average, but 13–82% between countries; leaders like Denmark/NL sit at the high end and also show the biggest gains from citizen-responder alert systems that dispatch nearby trained volunteers and AEDs. Several EU countries now get AED-before-EMS use above 10%, some up to ~59% in specific regions.

Japan

Early and massive PAD rollout (AEDs in stations, schools, public venues) drove a jump in public-access shocks and survival over the last decade; one nationwide study showed public-access defib rising from ~1% (2005) to ~16.5% (2013), with especially high use at rail hubs. Japan is frequently cited as having among the highest AED density globally.

Several EU countries now get AED-before-EMS use above 10%, some up to ~59% in specific regions.

United States & Canada

The U.S. has widespread “CPR in schools” mandates (about 40 states + DC), but AED enabling laws and PAD funding remain patchy state-to-state; actual AED-before-EMS use is still low nationwide. Canada shows similarly uneven legislation by province.

GLOBAL SOLUTIONS

What is the rest
of the world doing?

In many countries, first aid training isn’t optional,
it’s a basic life skill.
They have integrated it into education,
licensing, and workplace regulations. These proactive steps
create confident, prepared communities.

OUR MISSION

AEDs in Offices.

EpiPens in Schools.

Trauma Kits at Bus Stops.

Around the world, life-saving training & equipment are part of everyday infrastructure.
These aren’t hospital tools anymore, they’re community essentials. In India, this kind of access is still rare. We want to change that.

Our mission is to democratize medical emergency readiness - make first aid accessible, visible, and actionable for everyone, whether you're at office, in school, on the road, or at home. With the right awareness, training, and infrastructure, we can empower everyday people to save lives before professional help arrives.
